The everyday can be used to spruce up a space, add variety, and to provide interest to the eye. One example is employing what you already have as artwork. At my office, I’ve preserved several photos in acrylic frames; I can now enjoy them in a format which highlights their beauty and prevents them from spoilage.
In my home office cards and pictures are displayed underneath a clear plastic desk mat.
Both venues now evoke positive memories that would otherwise have been shoved in a drawer, lost, or forgotten. Artwork doesn’t need to be expensive to be tasteful – it simply needs to be showcased to provide value added for those around you.
